l stokers areinstalled in the new boiler room. Thenew and old boiler room, togethercontaining sixteen 250-hp Babcock &Wilcox boilers, supply the samesteam header. There are two 1650-kw a. c. generating units, consistingof Allis-Chalmers engines and West-inghouse generators. The engines are Boy bandits, armed to the teeth, recently terrorized Bing-hamton, N. Y. One of their daring deeds was to emulate theexample of the doings of the men who carried out the famouscar house robbery in Chicago. Their deed at the car houses ofthe Binghamton Railway Company was executed in the quietof the afternoon. They broke into a room and secured toolswith which they proceeded to cut through a partition in thesupply room of the car house. A lineman discovered them, buthe was promptly covered with a gun. The bandits then madegood their escape. It was several days before the boys wereall captured by the police, and restitution was made of goodsstolen from those who had been selected as promising prey.
