MAIN BUILDING OF NEW BEET SUGAR PLANT, BLISSFIELD, MICHMATERIAL HANDLED BY TOLEDO & WESTRN RAILWAY A connection with the Wabash at Franklin furnishes an ex-cellent outlet to the west and south, and at this point it has aconnecting yard equal to almost any connection between twosteam roads. It has its own transfer station, with a receivingtrack anci a delivering track. At the crossing there is a fullinterlocker, maintained by both roads, and giving both equalrights. A view of this crossing and connecting tracks is shownori page 328. At Denson it has a very good connection with points into Toledo at from $2 to $3 per car, and it practicallygives the Toledo & Western track connection with all thesteam roads entering Toledo. At the present time the Belt line offers no facilities for load-ing or unloading broken lots of package freight, and the electricline still operates package freight cars independent of its freighttrains.
