This heater, as stated in the Oct.8 issue, has been placed on the new cars of the MetropolitanWest Side Elevated Railway, the Milwaukee Electric Railway,the Rochester Railway, the Syracuse Rapid Transit Railwayand many others. THE BRISTOL COMPANYS EXHIBIT which is 22 ft. long x 12 ft. wide. The booth contains a largevariety of recording instruments for pressure, temperature andelectricity. These instruments record continuously with ink upon grad-uated, revolving charts all changes that occur in pressure,temperature or electricity, so that a record of a period oftwenty-four hours or more may be observed at a glance.Many of these instruments are in actual operation, and maybe inspected by visitors to show the manner of constructionand scientific principles upon which their operation depends,and the extreme sensitiveness and accuracy that it is possibleto obtain in instruments of this character without renderingthem too delicate for commercial application. Recording pres-sure gages are shown for ranges from full vacuum to 10,000lbs. per square inch; recording thermometers and pyrometersfor ranges from 60 degs. below zero to 1200 degs. F.
