ties and villages. .Four-bolt and six-boltfish-plates are used. Concealed bonds are employed in the cityand Ohio Brass Companys outside soldered bonds in the coun-try. The track is cross-bonded every 500 ft. The ties arcstandard size and spacing. The poles are 35 ft., spaced 100 ft. apart, are all perfectlystraight and have 8-in. tops. The brackets are of the Rich-mond flexible type, 10 ft. long, of il/>-in. pipe. There are threecross arms, the two upper being designed to carry two sets ofthree-phase high-tension lines, although at present only oneset is installed. The upper arm carries one 12^-m. pin, whilethe lower has a pin on either end, so that the scheme of anequilateral triangle will not be carried out until another setof lines is installed. The arms are supported by wood braces,the pins are soaked in paraffine; the insulators are 7-in. double-petticoat chocolate-colored porcelain, tested for 40,000 volts,while the three high-phase high-tension wires are No. 4 copper.
