875 shown in Fig. 2. The eastern halfof the building is occupied bytwenty-seven repair tracks. Thewestern half of the building hasthe blacksmith and machine shops,the store room, the armature room,the drafting room, general officesand toilet rooms. The blacksmithand machine shops are not par-titioned off from the main part ofthe building containing the repairtracks. The armature room, storeroom, toilet rooms and offices, how-ever, are divided from the balanceof the building, as can be seen fromthe plan, Fig. 2. All of the floorsare concrete. The total length ofthe building is 432 ft. The distancebetween track centers of the repairtracks is 16 ft. The repair tracksare 80 ft. long inside of the build-ing, and the portion of the buildingnow occupied by tracks is 80 ft.wide. Adjoining the repair shop build-ing on both sides are storage yards.In the rear, or west of the shops,are tracks which afford connectionnot only with the street railwaylines but also with the steam rail-roads.
