STREET RAILWAY JOURNAL. xxi 11 SIOUX CITY, IA.—Negotiations have been pending for the purchase bythe Sioux City, Homer & Southern Railway Company of a right of wayacross the Winnebago and Omaha Indian reservations. This seems to pointto the certainty of the extension of the line from Homer to Omaha. TheOmaha Northern Railway Company owns a right of way over these reserva-tions, but has never done anything as yet to construct the line from Omahato Sioux City. It is stated that Mr. Talbot, president and promoter of theSioux City, Homer & Southern Railway Company, has offered the officials ofthe Omaha Northern a good price for the right of way. The work on thiselectric railway from South Sioux City to Homer is progressing slowly. Thecompany has been handicapped by lack of material. Several car loads of steelrails and ties have been received by the company at Sioux City, and it ishoped that the work of construction can be rushed. KANSAS CITY, KAN.—There is a
