an assembly roomwith platform and stage. The partitions between the assemblyroom and reading room are vertical sliding doors, so that therooms can be thrown together for large assemblies. The duesof the association are 50 cents a month, which is deducted fromthe pay of the men each month. The constitution provides thatif the fund is not sufficient to meet the obligations the boardof trustees shall have the right to assess each member not toexceed an additional 50 cents a month. Disability by reasonof accident or sickness insures the member an income of $1.00per day for a period not to exceed ninety days. The death of amember provides an insurance of $150. The management ofthe association is vested in a chairman and six members. There will be a large casino,dance hall, pavilion, toboggan slide, merry-go-round, baseballpark, trotting track and numerous other up-to-date features. The company now operates Brandywine Park, Schenectady,which is let out to picnics. It contains a pavilion, refresh-ment stands and other buildings. A very remunerative departure is the outing feature, adver-tised as Twilight Trolley Tours. Special cars leave the citystation each evening and run for 12 miles and return over oneof the interurban divisions. The cars are decorated with col-ered incandescent lights, and have a shield, star or crescent onthe front dash. These ornaments are wired with a single 322 STREET RAILWAY JOURNAL. (Vol. XXII.
