Each of thesearched openings will be 64 ft. wideand 52 ft. high. Through thesearchways fourteen permanent rail-road tracks will be laid from one endof the building to the other. At thesides of these three openings theprojecting angles will be accentuatedby tower or pylon effect, reaching toa height of 150 ft. to the base of thecrowning statue. On the north andsouth fronts the architect has deemedit well to repeat the three massivearchways, which will form the centerfeature of smaller fronts. This treat-ment is intended to break the un-wieldy facade of 1300 ft. On thenorth and south fronts the pylonfeature will be omitted, but massive piers will be repeated at intervals and lend dignity to the design.Flanking these three openings on the long fronts will be greatrows of magnificent windows as wide as the archways.
