Beginning at the boiler room, there are eight. 225-hp Uab-cock & Wilcox boilers, carrying 160 lbs. steam pressure.These are supplied with feed water by four Worthingtonoutside packed plunger feed pumps. Acording to theusual practice of this engineering company, induced draftis emploved furnished by a steam-driven fan, of which aduplicate is kept in reserve. These fans are driven by West-inghouse junior engines. The flue gases pass throughGreen economizers. The boiler firing is done by Roneymechanical stokers divided in two sections, four boilers oneach section. The boilers are piped to a 10-in. main headerwhich is divided into sections between each boiler, withcut-off valves.
