LONG OPEN CAR FOR BUFFALO on No. 27-F trucks. They are driven by four G E-57 motors ,andweigh without equipments 24,500 lbs. The trucks weigh about5500 lbs. each. They are equipped with electric brakes and haveelectrice headlights. Bronze trim is used throughout, except forthe grab handles, which are of malleable iron. There are twoDedenda gongs. Brill gates inclose the platforms, and the cur-tains when down reach to the floor. The peculiar forms of the grab handles and inside guard railare due to the great size of the cars. They are 41 ft. 10 ins. overthe corner posts. Having a platform 3 ft. 8 ins. wide, they measure49 ft. 2 ins. over the dashers. The extreme width is 8 ft. 2.y2 ins.The running boards are 19H ins. from the head of the rail, witha 17-in. riser. The width gives 7 ins. more space on a seat than isusually allowed for five persons, making it possible by tightsqueezing to put six passengers on a seat, although the nominal completed by this company for service on the Centr
