o Anderson Transfer Company, 1618 State Street. Bill of ladingor advice that goods have been shipped in his care should be sentto Mr. Smith, giving particulars in regard to shipment. Goodswill be delivered to the proper assigned space in the exhibition Four Cent Fare Proposition in Milwaukee On July 31 the City Council of Milwaukee appointed a specialcommittee to confer with the officers of the Milwaukee ElectricRailway & Light Company with a view of obtaining, if possible,a reduction in the rates of fare charged, and of bringing about abetter understanding and more harmonious relations between thecity and the company. To this committee the company has sig-nified its desire to do all in its power to secure these desiredresults, and offers the following concessions on both sides as abasis of agreement. The concessions which the company is willing to make are:1. A gradual and increasing reduction in the rates of fare, untila 4-cent rate is secured by the sale of commutation tickets.

All articles intended for the exhibitionmust be delivered at the building by the agent or owner, and athis expense, but the local committee has made arrangements withH. W. Smith (successor to Anderson Transfer Company) to hauland deliver all shipments to and from the building at low rates ifdirected in his care. All electrical connections for power andextra lights must be made at the expense of the exhibitor. Thecommittee on exhibits will make contracts with carpenters, elec-trical workers and laborers at regular prices, so the exhibitorswill not be overcharged for lumber, labor, etc. Friday, the 20th, has been set apart by the executive committeefor the examination of exhibits. No session of the associationwill be held on that day and no entertainments of any kind willbe given by the local committee, so all delegates will have ampletime to examine the displa
