for closed front street cars, and baggage cars; the second is station-ary for open front street cars, and the third style is removable,with socket, for baggage cars. The device is made of the best of steeland consists of hooks encased in rubber, and designed to be fastenedto the front or rear dashboards of street cars or to the interiorsides of a baggage car. Bicycles are suspended from these hooksby the handle bar, and ride perfectly rigid. When placed uponthe dashboard of a car, the wheel does not in any way interferewith the brake handle. The holder has been introduced on a number of lines and isgiving entire satisfaction. The Market Street Railway Company, ofSan Francisco, states that on one of its lines an average of 1800bicycles were carried per month. This, at five cents for the wheel
