ve been given a thorough test. This indicates that the skepti-cism, which was at one time more general, on the value of airbrakes, is gradually disappearing. Another example of a high speed railway forheavy traffic equipped by the Christensen air brakes is the NewCanaan Division of the New York, New Haven & Hartford Rail-road, all of the cars of which are employing independent motorcompressor apparatus.
