The power house, car houses,cars and waiting rooms are all heated by electricity; themerry-go-rounds, hotel elevator, elevator for the tobog-gan slide, etc., are run by electric motors, and special at-tention is paid to decorative illumination in the parkgrounds at night. The following are the rates of farecharged: Regular tickets, three for 25c;white tickets (good between Aylmer andDeschenes, Tetreau and Hull, from 6:30A. M. to 7:30 A. M., and between 5:00 P.M. and 6:30 P. Total 47.318 tons. An important feature in connection with the handlingof freight is the low cost of locomotive repairs as com-pared with a steam locomotive. An additional and im-portant saving is the greatly reduced cost for cleanersand attendants in the car-house. PARK SYSTEM AND OTHER ATTRACTIONS. A special feature in connection with this road and oneto which its money earning powers are largelv owing, isthe extent to which attention has been paid to develop-ing special attractions. The principal of these is the exten-sive Queens Park at Aylmer, overlooking Lake Des-chenes, a beautiful sheet of water 27 miles in length by3 miles in width, which is in reality a widening out of theOttawa River. The Queens Park has a total area of 200acres, is beautifully wooded and along the lake shore hasan excellent sand beach which affords first-class bathingfacilities. In the park itself the company has erected acasino and refreshment booths, merry-go-rounds, bathinghouses, a- water toboggan, etc
