In response to an invitation addressed to the streetrailway companies of Illinois, representatives from all partsof the state met at the Great NorthernHotel in Chicago, Jan. 5, and formed theIllinois Street Railway Association. Thefollowing named officers were elected: presi-dent, W. H. Patterson, Bloomington; vice-president, D. B. Sherwood, Elgin; secre-tary and treasurer, T. J. Minary, Spring-field; executive committee, W. H. Patter-son, C. K. Minary, D. B. Sherwood, W. L.Ferguson, Decatur; B. F. Harris, Cham-paign; Walter Barker, Peoria, and W. F.Brennan, Chicago.
