| Description |
English: Without consulting a map the photographer thought this was the only Thames in Ashton Keynes – a very common, hurried interpretation. This is the village channel of the river. The parish sees the river form a very similar quadrilateral to a perfect square; a mill-use feat of excavation kept up for over hundreds of years. The mills and sluices are inactive today however this step, moss-laden as it may be, shows how terraformed the river is in this parish, just as it is in Oxford. |
