A clyster used as a punishment.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Intended as a frontispiece for Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels (although Swift never commissioned it) and later republished under the title “The Political Clyster”, Gulliver’s buttocks faces, among other things, a clergyman sitting in a chamber pot, while a man urinating in Gulliver’s hat is at the bottom. This illustrates that an enema can be used as punishment.
