Description
English: Banner advertising the American horror film The Phantom of the Opera (1925) on the side of the ocean liner SS Leviathan, on page 16 of the June 6, 1925 Universal Weekly. The caption states that employees of the European Motion Picture Company hung the banner for managing director James V. Bryson in Southampton for the trip to New York City, where he was to pick up a copy of the film. The banner states "Bon voyage James V. Bryson - Hurry back with the Universal masterpiece The Phantom of the Opera."
