ntaiDed for our factory poinilution, recently result-ing, as dtscvibed in our columns, inthe organization of Immanuelchurch. Great emphasis has been laid onthe missionary work of the church.The church has contributed forHome Missions including the workat Immanuel, $24,520.88, and forForeign Missions, $15,665.50. Forother objects of benevolence, outsideof its own expenses, $32,620.45.Total, $72,796,83. At the same time, the necessityhas been recognized of ample andworthy equipments for the worshipand work of the church itself. Thechurch has expended on its own im-provement in these ten years about$20,000. Its audience room isnow one of the most beautiful in theState, and its arrangements for theSunday-school, for the societies ofthe church, for its social gatheringsand other entertainments, probablythe most complete in the South,though excelled by a few in one ormore of these features. Including these improvements thecontributions of the church for itsown expenses have been $72,545.74.

The Ladies Foreig;n Mission-ary Society has supported a ladymissionary for about sejven years,while Dr. Edgar Woodt has beensupported by the gentle^n. TheYoung Lidies Missionary Societycarries on the various clafses at Im-manuel ; the Ladies Aid Societyhelps in the care of the poor, andvisits them in their ho;mes. TheWestminster League is enlisting allthe young of the church iU Christianwork, and brings them together forsocial intercourse. The Sunday-school brings all the younger por-tion of the church together forBible study, while the Immanuelschool employs the eDere:ies ofothers. One of the most interestingdevelopments of the missionaryspirit in the church is tha consecra-tion of three of its members to per-sonal work in the foreign field—Dr. and Mrs. Geo. C. Worth atWusih, China, and Mrs. LillianJohns
