| Description |
English: The Ness Shaldon - ship's arrival This has to be witnessed - a ship negotiating this narrow and shallow entrance to Teignmouth Docks. There are occasions when ships have missed the channel and finished up on the sandy base of the river entrance. Fortunately with flat bottoms to the hulls that is not usually a disastrous situation, but no doubt one which is very embarrassing for the captain and crew. |
