As the patients replies were .so uncertain, no definite areascould be marked out. She was not able to differentiate cotton, cloth, wood, glass,rubber or sponge by the sense of touch. Patient wasnot able to tell which toe or hnger was manipulated. Her sensa-tions of pain seemed more acute as her replies were more uncer-tain. There was no aphasia or apraxia present. Motor functions: Facial muscles were coordinated and undercontrol, although they appeared weakened, especially around themouth, shown by the tremor. Wrist and ankle drop were present.Romberg was not tested as patient could not stand. No atrophiesor hypertrophies. Profuse perspiration present and a sour odor.
