It must not,however, be concluded that the indiffer-ent qualities referred to are necessarilyidentified with coarseness. We fre-quently see horses with thick, coarsewithers but still possessing ample height, length, and obliquity, and mayltea well-disposed shoulder, which, however, it should be observed, has thedefect of being always more or less loaded. In these examples the neckalso tends to coarseness, and although the action of both shoulders andknees may be ample, it is usually of the heavy-dwelling order, and badlysustained.
