Summary

[edit]
Description

This railway bridge dates from 1884 and at the time it was the largest and highest railway arch bridge in the world. It can be found in the mountainous Massif Central region of France.

It was designed by the same man as the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty - Gustave Eiffel. It's 565 m (1,854 ft) long and 125 m (410 ft) high.

The bridge doubled as "The Cassandra Crossing" in the 1976 film of that name.
