| Description |
English: Il-Karnival Ta’ Malta, Valletta. Bright colours are one of the main features of a Maltese carnival. Carnival tradition has been celebrated in Malta since 1535 so it means has deep roots and long history. The centre of the festivities is Valletta, but there are similar celebrations in small towns. Colorful parades take place in the streets. Trucks carry giant colorful floats, platforms, playing bands, children and adults in costumes create joyful carnival atmosphere.
