A peculiarity of this fruit is its bearing the seed or nut on the outside.These nuts have been pronounced by confectioners in New York to be equal in all respects to the bitteralmond, which they strongly resemble in flavor. The fruit itself is of a pleasant flavor, slightly puckery,very rich in juice, held in a rubbery pulp. The skin is light yellow and very thin. they may require either for their own useor for the purpose of selling to others. Ifthey build a house on the land thus giventhem and desire afterwards to leave, theymay dispose of the building to someoneelse. It is their property.
