Description
English: The Chapel of St Mary Magdalen. Ripon, Yorkshire, Great Britain. This Chapel was founded by Thurstan, Archbishop of York (1114 - 1140) to serve the Hospital (or almhouses) of St Mary Magdalen which stood around it. The Hospital had a particular care for lepers and blind priests. It is said that Cromwell's men were responsible for smashing most of the chapels stained glass.
