The evening session opened with the Cana-dian Tuberculosis Association film Behindthe Shadows. Dr. J. A. Tallon acted aschairman and introduced Dr. G. C. Brink,Director of the Division of TuberculosisControl in the Department of Health ofOntario. AHss Laura Pepper, Home Econo-mist, Marketing Service of the Departmentof Agriculture, gave an address on nutri-tion which presented many important pointsregarding the proper uses of food. One whole day was set aside for the studyof maternal and infant welfare and of socialhygiene as related to venereal disease. Twomembers of the Cornwall Branch of theVictorian Order of Nurses, Aliss MaryRoss and Miss Arlie Wright, acted as vis-iting nurse and prospective patient, respec-tively, in presenting a pre-natal visit, bring-ing out suggestions of great value to the VOL.
