Summary[edit]

Description

Yet another from the strange collection by the Irish Tourism Association Collection. A Beech tree planted by Henry Brooke, father of Charlotte and marking the site of their house in Corfad. When one reads the name Brooke the ancient province of Ulster comes to mind and although Cavan is south of the border when this tree was planted there was no border! Who were Henry and the, seemingly, more famous daughter Charlotte and does it still stand proudly today?
