English: Temple Grandeur Ornate plaque with coats-of-arms (1893-4) in Hare's Court, Inner Temple. The winged horse, Pegasus, is the badge of the Inner Temple. "The construction of this new building of the Inn of the Inner Temple, the old one having been consumed by age, was under the care of ....." Arms of Sir Alfred George Marten (1829-1910), QC, Treasurer of Inner Temple in 1893; and of Arthur Cohen, QC, admitted to the Inner Temple in 1853, Treasurer of the Inner Temple in 1894, MP for Southwark, who both supervised the creation of the new buildings. |
