Human oocyte at the telophase of the first division of meiosis.

Summary[edit]

Description
Oosight Meta imaging system Hamilton Thorne
English: At the 7 o'clock position, the first polar body is located in the perivitelline space, but the remnants of the division spindle still connect it to the oocyte, indicating the final stages of the first division of meiosis. Polarized light microscopy. The image was obtained on a Nikon eclipse Ti2 microscope (200x magnification) using the Oosight Meta imaging system Hamilton Thorne.
