Summary[edit]
DescriptionTeatro Romano - Museo Archeolologico - Verona (4820282449).jpg |
We went to this side of the River Adige in Verona to find the Roman Theatre. This is the Roman Theatre in Verona. We didn't go into it, just had a brief look at it. It dates from the second half of the 1st century BC. Successive constructions caused the theatre to disappear. The excavations which brought it to light were commenced by the archaelogist Andrea Monga in the middle of the 19th century and were finished rather recently. Information from "Verona: History and Masterpieces - English Edition". At the Teatro Romano is the Museo Archeologico. The Museum of Archaeology |
