Summary[edit]

Description
English: Teasels growing by the Fen Rivers Walk. The electrified London to Kings Lynn mainline can be seen in the background as it approaches the level crossing on the B1382 road > 1618489 and Ely North Junction > 1618502 beyond. The mast seen at left is situated by Potter Distribution Depot which is situated immediately west of the River Great Ouse and east of Ely North Junction. Ely North Junction is located at Queen Adelaide, approx one-and-a-half miles north of Ely station. From Ely North Junction the electrified ex-GER London-Kings Lynn mainline runs north to Littleport, Downham Market and Kings Lynn. Two non-electrified double-track lines branch at North Junction: one diverges northeast to Norwich (it is marketed as "Breckland Line") and the other northwest to March and Peterborough where there are connections to the East Coast Mainline (ECML) to Scotland and the route to Birmingham.
