| Description |
English: Tall Ships 2008 at Canning Half Tide Dock. The Canning Half Tide Dock is between Canning Dock and the River Mersey. On the left is the Merseyside Maritime Museum, and beyond the ships is the former Harbour Master's House. Immediately on the left is Spirit of Fairbridge, a class B gaff schooner, which was built in Liverpool between 1981 & 1985 by the Merseyside Trust. Spirit is a replica of a Liverpool pilot schooner. In front of it and also moored against Hartley Quay is Kaliakra, a class A barquentine from Bulgaria. Outside that is Pogoria, a class A barquentine sail training vessel from Poland, which was built in 1980. |
