Description
Français : *Tableau des "obits" à l'église Saint-Nicolas de La Croix-aux-Mines (Vosges).
  • Daté du XVIIIe s. Inscrit MH.
  • Situés à l'arrière du maître-autel, les panneaux en bois peint consignent les messes et obits demandés par fondation à la chapelle Saint-Marc du Chipal (haut du tableau) et à l'église Saint-Nicolas.

Un obit est un service religieux célébré par fondation pour un défunt à la date anniversaire de sa mort.

    • Noct. Nocturne : fait partie de l'office des matines
    • LIB. LIbera : réponse à l'office des morts
