Troy, Trojan Horse, and Latched Knowledge - Current situation in scientific publishing

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Troy, Trojan Horse, and Latched Knowledge - Current situation in scientific publishing. This sketchnote was made based on the current situation in scientific publishing which is clearly dominated by commercial publishing entities. These companies are selling out prestige, reputation, and credit for researchers that able to publish or participate within their ecosystem. This perception have brought destruction to science and dissemination of knowledge since they literally search for opportunities to widen their power through every aspect in science. I reflect such situation by a Trojan Horse, because once it enters the ecosystem of researchers, then they can create a virtual ecosystem that draw all resources that researchers' have, at personal level, institutional level, even at country level.
