Summary[edit]

Description

Soviet WW2 era Light Tank Designer:- Nicholas Astrov Manufacturer:- Various Built:- 1941 to 1942 Total Production:- 6,292 Main Armament:- 20mm TNSh cannon Designed to replace the amphibious T-38 scout tank. The following quote from www.tanks-encyclopedia.com seems to sum up the T-60:- “Whilst such a large number were produced, it was hated by all who had to deal with it – all except the Germans, who found it to be a substandard and underwhelming opponent, and a rather nice ammunition carrier or gun towing tractor, once captured. As a result of its poor armor, substandard armament and sluggish performance, it was more dangerous to its crews than anybody else, earning it the title Bratskaya Mogila na Dovoikh, literally: “a brother’s grave for two.” One of six reported to be part of the collection, this example is on display at the Vadim Zadorozhny Technical Museum, Arkhangelskoye, Moscow Oblast, Russia.
