Description
Magyar: Törökbecse (Vajdaság), Leiningen szobor. „Gróf Leiningen Westerburg Károly honvéd tábornok, ki Aradon új hazája szabadságának kihívásáért 1849. október 6-án, mint vértanú hősi halált szenvedett, porhűvelyed visszaállt ugyan e föld rögébe, de nemes lelked, annak vitézsége és geniuszod örökké élni fog magyar honunk egén és minden magyar szívében.”
English: Statue to Leiningen, Törökbecse, Vojvodina (then Austria-Hungary). The original inscription reads: Count Charles Leiningen-Westerburg, General of the home-defend army, who for the freedom of his new home-country, at 1849 octobre 6th, died a martyr's death at Arad. Although your earthly remnants have returned to the soil, your noble soul, it's gallantry and your genie will forever live on the skies of our Hungarian home and within every Hungarian's heart.
