Deutsch: Vorderseite: Kopf der Arethusa nach l., die Haare mit einem Haarband gefasst. Dahinter die Signatur ΦΡΥ.

Rückseite: ΣΥ-ΡΑ. Rad mit vier Speichen. Zwischen den oberen Speichen Aufschrift und unten je ein Delphin.

Kommentar: Bronzemünzen dieser Serie weisen oft Signaturen berühmter Stempelschneider wie Eukleidas, Phrygillos und Kimon auf. Demnach können die Münzen eindeutig in die Epoche der signierenden Künstler und mit dem Machtbeginn des Dionysios I. ab 404 v. Chr. in Verbindung gebracht werden. Ab dieser Serie nimmt in Syrakus die Qualität der Stempel zu, jedoch die der Schrötlinge eindeutig ab, was auf eine kurzzeitige Massenproduktion hinweist.
