| Description |
English: It is dark in the lab because I was trying to get some images of the crystal structure of the material by means of Low-energy electron diffraction (LEED). LEED demonstrates a diffraction of electrons by the Bragg planes of a single crystal. Due to the electrons’ low energy (typically 10–200 eV), their mean free path in the material is quite short ~ first few atomic layers, and so LEED is highly surface sensitive and gives an information about the topological structure.
