Description
English: Fighter-bomber Su-17M, loaded with 2×B-8 and 2×UB-16. The monument is dedicated to the aircraft designer Pavel Sukhoi. Plane was installed in the town of Glubokoye (Vitebsk oblast, Republic Of Belarus), where Pavel Osipovich was born.
Русский: Истребитель-бомбардировщик Су-17M, подвеска: 2×Б-8 и 2×УБ-16.

Памятник посвящён авиаконструктору Павлу Сухому. Самолёт установлен в городе Глубокое (Витебская область, Республика Беларусь), где Павел Осипович родился.

Су-17М (бортовой номер – «101») установлен 6 июля 1996 года к 101-й годовщине со для рождения П. О. Сухого на южном въезде в город Глубокое. Памятный текст: авиаконструктору Павлу Сухому от земляков – Комплекс-банка – Барановического авиаремонтного завода.

Памятник установлен Республиканским унитарным производственным предприятием «558-й авиационный ремонтный завод» (Барановичи), ранее специализировавшимся на ремонте самолётов семейства Су-17, на средства Витебского филиала Республиканского акционерного коммерческого банка «Комплекс-Банк». Известный советский авиационный конструктор Дважды Герой Социалистического труда Павел Осипович Сухой (1895 – 1975) родился 10/22 июля 1895 года в местечке Глубокое тогдашнего Дисненского уезда Виленской губернии Российской Империи.
