Description

A U.S. Navy SC-497-class submarine chaser at Luders Marine Construction, Stamford, Connecticut (USA), in March 1942. USS PC-506 was commissioned on 30 April 1942 and reclassified SC-506 in April 1943. It was transferred to France on 27 September 1944 and reclassified CH-113.

Original description: "Production. Submarine chasers. Another worry for the U-boats. A new American subchaser that will hound the undersea craft of the Axis is commissioned at an Eastern boatyard. Target boats are moored alongside. Marine Construction Company, Stamford, Connecticut."
