Summary[edit]

Description
English: Suata – a folk tale Bundelkhand is known for its culture and identity, similarly through my documentary I have shown a unique tradition of Bundelkhand in which virgin girls worship the feet of a demon named Suata. This puja is celebrated on Ashwini's Shukla Purnima i.e. Sharad Purnima where girls who have been virgin for years wash the feet of the demon and on the same day the marriage of Tesu and Jhinjhiya is also performed. Only after that can unmarried girls get married. This tradition is celebrated with great pomp throughout Bundelkhand.
