Parijs is in de jaren twintig het centrum van de Europese avant-garde. Van Eesteren werkt er aan een prestigieus project: een verkeersplan voor het centrum van Parijs. Deze en andere foto’s en documenten verzamelt of maakt hij ter bestudering van de verkeerssituatie.

In the 1920s, Paris was the nerve centre of the European avant-garde. Van Eesteren worked on a prestigious project there: a traffic plan for the centre of Paris. He took or collected this and other photographs and documents to study the flow of traffic in Paris.
