Deutsch: Aquarell von der Beerdigung eines Angehörigen des Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg. Um den Sarg stehen Corpsbrüder und Mitglieder des Corps Suevia Heidelberg (rechts) und des Corps Vandalia Heidelberg (links). Im Vordergrund rechts steht ein sogenannter Chapeau d'honneur. Der Beerdigungsort ist nicht der Bergfriedhof Heidelberg. Bei dem Verstorbenen kann es sich um Julius von Untzer aus Hamm oder um Hans Heinrich Graf von Hochberg aus Fürstenstein in Schlesien handeln. Beide waren Jurastudenten und Mitglieder der Saxo-Borussia. – Dr. Ernst Fries (Angehöriger der Suevia Heidelberg) malte das Bild in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Dort ist es in Privatbesitz. |
