Description
English: The Strauß site with rubble pile in Hof (Saale) in May 2022. Until 2017 it was equipped with bus station, since then with rubble pile. In June 2022 it became known that doctors want to build a building on it. Jokingly, this "mountain" is called Mount Fichtner. The name comes from the former mayor Harald Fichtner (CSU), who wanted to have a Hof-Galerie built, but this failed. Due to various reports and word of mouth, the place became known beyond Hof and ironically elevated to a Hof landmark worthy of preservation (among others, by Hof's resident population).
Deutsch: Das Strauß-Areal mit Schutthaufen in Hof (Saale) in Mai 2022. Bis 2017 war es mit Busbahnhof ausgestattet, seitdem mit Schutthaufen. Im Juni 2022 wurde bekannt, dass Ärzte hierauf ein Gebäude bauen wollen. Scherzhaft wird dieser "Berg" Mount Fichtner benannt. Der Name kommt vom ehemaligen Bürgermeister Harald Fichtner (CSU), der eine Hof-Galerie bauen lassen wollte, dies jedoch scheiterte. Aufgrund diverser Berichterstattung und durch Mundpropaganda wurde der Ort über Hof hinaus bekannt und ironisch zum erhaltenswerten Wahrzeichen Hofs erhöht (u.a. von der wohnhaften Bevölkerungs Hofs).
