| Description |
The Stratosphere tower is part of the Stratosphere Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The tower is 1,149 ft (350.2 m) high and is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States. The tower dwarfs the 24 story high hotel. Construction of the tower was completed on 1995. Near the top are two observation decks, a revolving restaurant and four thrill rides. The 360 degree views are spectacular. The elevators taking you up are some of the fastest in the world and travel at up to 1800 feet per minute. |
