Description
Italiano: strumento in vetro trasparente con corpo piriforme. L'estremità superiore del corpo si piega a formare un collo lungo che si restringe progressivamente verso la bocca. Dall'estremità superiore si innalza anche un beccuccio cilindrico con il bordo rinforzato. La storta è sorretta da un treppiede in ferro battuto; alla testa circolare del treppiede si innesta, tramite chiodatura, un braccio la cui estremità libera si torce e si biforca a formare una sella atta a sorreggere il collo della storta.
Funzione
Veniva utilizzato nei processi chimici e in particolare di preparazione di farmaci che prevedono fasi di distillazione.
