English: Storming the camp at Gadan-Ola. Proof print from the series 'Conquests of the Western Regions' engraved by Jacques Philippe Le Bas after Giuseppe Castiglione, printed in Paris, France, 1769. This series of copperplate prints was made at the command of the Qianlong Emperor to commemorate his campaigns in Central Eurasia. The prints were prepared in Paris under the direction of Charles-Nicolas Cochin the younger. Chester Beatty Library C 1601
