Summary
[edit]DescriptionStonehenge World Heritage Site signpost alongside the A303 - geograph.org.uk - 31904.jpg |
English: Stonehenge World Heritage Site signpost alongside the A303. In the grid square SW of Stonehenge, this is a recently erected signpost where a by-way crosses the very busy A303 road. This grid square contains a large number of prehistoric burial mounds, including the Normanton Down round barrow cemetery. The low remains of a neolithic long barrow are just visible in the field on the left of the photo. |
