A town plan of Stolp, Prussia, nowadays Słupsk, Poland, from 1811.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: A town plan of Stolp, Prussia, nowadays Słupsk, Poland, from 1811, made by one Schafft. The plan is among the oldest preserved town plans of Słupsk, and one of a handful preserved ones that predate the construction of the railway in 1869. Of note is the contrast between the city charter-holding part to the left of the river Stolpe/Słupia, preserving the medieval planned grid system of streets concentrating at a central market place, and the Altstadt, the older town turned suburb showcasing a typically rural development.
